Skinny Spaghetti

Ingredients:

    12 oz can tomato paste
    12 oz water
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tbs garlic , minced
    4 tbs dry chopped basil
    1 tbs dry oregano
    1 lb lean ground beef, browned*
    1/2 tsp black pepper, fresh ground
    2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:
Heat olive oil over medium high heat in large, heavy frying pan. Saute onion until soft and cooked through. Add garlic and cook until soft. Add herbs, pepper, and saute until the scent releases. Add tomato paste and water, stir to combine. Heat through. Add ground beef and adjust herbs and spice to taste. 

Serve with whole wheat pasta.

*may use ground turkey, chicken or venison
